What Have We Been Up To Lately…???
I’ve been contemplating in adding my thoughts to my blog since the wedding. Not because I was lazy but just the fact that I was so upset with what had happen at the wedding. Although I had consider the events that occur during my wedding a thing of the past…it still makes me upset at myself because I was so blind to see the truth about people….or maybe I was just naive. Whatever the case may be…I realized one more thing about myself…I trust people to easily!!!! NOT ANYMORE!!! To me I think it really sucks that we live in a world where we can’t trust each other. Where fear, doubt, jealousy or what ever the case may be can ruin friendships, family and relationships.
Although I may feel this way…at the same time I only trust a very small handful of people. I’m sure there are plenty of people who feel the same and it’s just ashame! At the end of the day…I know we will get over it and move on. I know I have but it will always hurt because you never know who’s going to try to bring you down next!
Let me move on to bigger and better news! I have a new man in my life. David and I are happy to announce our bundle of joy….David Rodriguez, Jr. He’s so precious and adorable. After having my li’l man I now understand what unconditional love means! I would do anything for him and not even think twice. He’s now my pride and joy because of him I love life, and I love my marriage because of my husband!! I’m happy and enjoying my new life as a wife and mother.
Oh boy…look at the time! It’s 2:25am and I’m still up. Yikes..gotta get some sleep. Will continue tomorrow!!!

Wedding Day Highlights
Okay, so the wedding is now over and our lives are somewhat back to normal!!! Yeah right…I don’t think David and I know what a “Normal Life” consist of!! However….now that I’m married, I get asked the common question “How does it feel to be married?” Not to say I’ve also asked the question myself at one point in my life. Honestly….nothing has changed, nor should it change. You want to have the same feeling you had for each other before the engagement, through the stress and chaos of planning and the arguing!!! If the both of you can survive…its worth it in the end.
So…. Here are a few highlights and my personal inputs from our wedding.
1. Getting Ready: The make-up artist came a few minutes early - which was awesome. My sister-in-laws who were kind enough to do my hair and the bridal parties hair for the wedding was running a little late. Which was okay since they were all from out a town. However, I found out after that the MOH decided to meet my sister-in-laws in the lobby at 7:00am instead of the scheduled time of 6:15am. Judy (my BFF since Kindergarten) was at my house by 6:30am preparing the props of challenges that David has to go through when he comes over. Lena (my guardian angel & aka: SUPERMOM) was kind enough to bring bagels for everyone. Jennie (also my guardian angel and voice of reason) bought the music…very important to keep us alert…ha ha ha!!! Leslie (my sister-in-law to be) bought the box of Joe….which is the essential thing to have in the morning!!! Sammie & Tiffany (cousins) was the photographers running around the house taking snap shots of everyone. As everyone is getting ready with hair and make-up (which everyone looked AWESOME!!!) I had scheduled each girl to have their hair done within 45 minutes and their make-up (airbrushing…greatest thing for weddings) about 20 minutes. Before all the scheduling and planning the MOH had told me that she would do her own make-up and hair and blah blah blah….well guess what? She wanted to get her make-up done by Michelle the make-up artist. Without consulting me first…she decides to jump into the chair and proceed with make-up. To make matters worse….she gets the make-up done runs to the bathroom and tells me I had my make-up done and I don’t like it! I thought she looked fine but she washes it off and decides to put her own make-up on. She basically piles on her own make-up and it didn’t look all that great. Mind you the MOH has a very nice skin tone but when she puts the make-up on she looks like a ghost because the shade is so off. Anyway - she never paid the make-up artist for the service and pretends that nothing happen. I decided to let it go because it was such a minor thing and it was really nothing to get stressed about. As it was getting closer…we were on time and ready to roll. As I was getting ready upstairs - the MOH decided she wanted to get her hair done by my sister-in-law. First she told them she wanted her hair down then changed her mind to have it up. Because she was the MOH…..my sister-in-law…decided to spend a little more time on her hair like she did on mine. She sat down before Jennie who was upstairs helping me get ready. With that….Jennie was the last one to get her hair done and I was a little upset but again…I let it go. However, Jennie got changed as soon as her hair was done and was right by my side with Lena helping with everything! Are you wondering where my MOH disappeared to? Yeah, I asked myself that question too. Evidently the MOH was outside smoking a cigarette and on the phone. She finally got changed came down to join us. She had worn her heels up and down from up stair bedrooms and my mom had kindly asked her TWICE to take her shoes off when walking upstairs to the bedroom. She basically ignored my mom, so I said something but not sure if I spoke loud enough. But Jennie helped me and told her but of course she still didn’t listen. Again…i didn’t get upset because I figured it was something still minor. She was constantly on the phone or disappeared to have a cigarette or in her car doing GODS know what. Anyway, as we were getting ready to leave…her cell phone begins to ring. I had kindly asked her that she needs to get off the phone…she basically told her husband that she was getting yelled and needed to get off the phone. What a BIATCH!!!!
2. Church: So let’s move on to the Church! Everything is going smoothly and it’s great. As the priest is reading scriptures from the bible, David and I look over to where the MOH was sitting and guess what we saw. The MOH was falling asleep, bobbing her head from left to right. I was so upset, I almost said something but since we were being videotaped, i didn’t want to make a scene….so again I let it go!!! The MOH never helped me with my dress to the limo, or at church. However, the ceremony was wonderful. We took great pictures in the church and outside!!! At one point we finish taking the pictures outside of the church and the MOH was still standing there as everyone had already walked away. Want to guess what she was doing? YUP, she fell asleep again….STANDING!!! She claims she took Benedryl…everyone else thinks it was something more! Regardless…Anyone with common sense knows not to take Benedryl esp…during a wedding!!! So we get in the Limo to ride to the reception hall and there she goes again…falling asleep!!! I asked her a couple of times to see if she’s okay and she said she was fine as she’s putting on her sun glasses to close her eyes…AGAIN!!! We get to the reception and she’s the first one off the Limo and darts right into the bridal suite to EAT. Didn’t ask if I need help with anything nothing. Guess who was there…MY GUARDIAN ANGELS…LENA & JENNIE!!!
3. Cocktail Hour - Before cocktail hour began David and I followed the photographer to take pictures of just the both of us. Shortly after we conducted the tea ceremony with family. David wasn’t to sure what he had to do for the tea ceremony and asked if it would be okay to just have those that are involved in the room. He did’t want additional guests or the wedding party there. I totally understood and didn’t want him to feel uncomfortable. My mom needed some help and requested Lena and Jennie to help since they have been by my side all day. Judy also helped as much as she can and she was great! The tea ceremony went as planned and it was great. We finished just in time to enjoy the cocktail hour and speak to our guests! It was great to see everyone but it was so hard to speak to everyone because you’re trying to take pictures with as many people as possible. Honestly, I don’t remember the first thing I did after leaving the tea ceremony room..ha ha ha!!! I thought finally things were going okay but of course NOT!! The drama must continue with the MOH…..not sure what happen but sometime during the reception she decided to wanted to leave because I wasn’t paying any attention to her. Hmmm….let think….I believe I was the one that was getting married that day! What a Biatch! I never thought in my whole life that she would do something so disrepectful to me! I’ve never done anything wrong to her….if anything I’ve been there for her more than anything!!! It doesn’t matter any more at this point…as she is dead to me just like our friendship! GOOD RIDDENS!! Just know…..Weddings bring the best and worse out of people. It will make your relationship with your friends either stronger or dissipate in to thin air.

So Sorry……
Yikes….So sorry…it’s been a little crazy and haven’t had time to update the blog as promised. Not the fact that I’ve been sick. I’m going on three weeks and still can’t get rid of this nasty cough!!!
I’ll give a short update as far as where we are with the wedding! I just placed an order for the paper for our programs and menus.  I just tried inserting the pictures to view but for some reason it’s not coming up properly. I’ll have to have Hubby-to-be look into it for me!!! Hee heee hee…my Hero!!! :) Our center pieces has changed…again but it’s okay. I believe this is absolutely the last time we’ll be changing our center pieces!!!
This past weekend, David’s sister got married in Long Island. It was such a beautiful intimate wedding. I had a good time and it was nice to see everyone again! David’s youngest nephew is adorable….he speaks in his own language and his facial expressions are one of a kind!!! His nephew, Ivan was just a party animal on the dance floor! Oh boy…he’s def. going to have the girls knocking down the doors when he gets older. Then of course his niece, Angeli - she’s such a sweetheart. She kept teasing David with French Fries!Â
Well, have to stop here for now but hopefully I’ll have a full update in a few days! =)

Where did my weekend go….?
Holy cow…this weekend came and gone so quickly…..I don’t remember ever falling asleep!! LOL!!! I had an “AWESOME” weekend. I had the chance to spend some quality time with family and just had some good ‘ol fashion fun!!!Â
Friday - My mommy and I ran around Chinatown getting some last minute things done. I was able to pick up my “throw-away” bouquet and some supplies for the wedding favors. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my measurements done because the tailor had to run home to her daughter who wasn’t felling very well. David was able to meet up with us after work to join on our quest for “wedding stuff”!!! The highlight of our evening was having dinner with my third aunt and her family. It was my cousin Jonathan’s birthday…as he would say…he’s turning 21 again! LOL!!! The food wad delicious as always as Hop Lee on Mott!!! Thanks for inviting us!!!!
Saturday, I ran some errands with mom again and just chilled with family. Had an awesome dinner and was able to purchase the rest of my supplise for our center pieces. Now I just need to find a little something extra to make my center pieces “POP” and I’m all set. I hope Sammie can help me since she’s very creative….with flowers and all that good stuff! Hopefully, I’ll be able to post some images up by this weekend to give everyone a peek into our “madness”!!
Sunday, I went for my make-up trial with my mom. I had asked my MOH to come but she never called me back. What’s up with that???? Should post her image on a milk carton with the title LOST MOH - PLEASE CALL XXX-XXX-XXXX!!! Just kidding…I’m sure she was very busy and couldn’t call back!!! Hopefully she’s planning this wonderful and lavish Bridal Shower…hee hee (*wink*wink)….LOL….LOL…!!!! Since we were already in south Jersey, we went to my Aunt H’s house for dinner! It was MMMmmmm…GOOD!! I miss the home cooked “chinese food” & soup. Not the same when I make it!!!! My uncle was kind enough to do my measurements with the help from my mom and aunt for my chinese wedding gown! I have such an awesome family…Thank you!! =)
I hope to get a lot more done by this weekend. I should have a sample of my wedding program (still waiting for the delivery of the paper) and a good sample of the center pieces by Sunday. Although I will not make any promises at this time but set them as goals for myself (& David)!!!!

Moving Along….
I got a little tired yesterday and wasn’t able to update the blog, not that I have anything interesting to post at the moment. I figure I would update now that I have the energy and mindset to do so.
Today, I hope to get some things done for the wedding before the weekend starts! Not that I have time to do anything weekends besides weedding stuff!! =) I’m meeting up with mommy dearest to get my measurements done for the chinese wedding gown, then I would like to purchase additional things for the wedding favors (which I would not state at this time - would like for it to be a surprise for my guest) but I’ll put an image of it up as the wedding day gets closer and place an order for my throw-away bouquet. I thought I would have the patient and time to make my own throw away bouquet but that’s not going to happen! I think for sanity sake it’s just best if I paid someone else to make it for me! :) Not that I’m lazy by any means (at all..hee hee) but I still need to work on the center pieces which is going to take majority of my time from this point forward and prefer to keep focused.
This weekend, I’m going for my trial make up for the wedding. I’m really looking forward to that! Kind of gives me a glimpse of how I would look on the wedding day in front of the cameras. One of my friends gave me an advice regarding smiling. She said to stand in front of the mirror and practice smiling. I may have to do that in the privacy of my own bathroom…hee hee hee hee!!! LOL!!!
Okay, I’m off…I’ll sign on later!!

Just Another Day….
Hi….just another day at work! Â Really didn’t do anything for the wedding today, although I did try. Unfortunately, the paper I purchased to print test the wedding programs was a little to thick. Â I just have to find a lighter card stock paper so that the printer can actually spit the paper out. Â Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to make a run to the craft store this weekend if not, I’ll just have to purchase the sample paper online.
I’m also thinking about changing the center pieces for the reception but haven’t decided what to do. Â I have so many ideas running through my head to the point where I think I’m going crazy. Â I like so many things and what I’m trying to do is incorporate as much as I can. Â I’ve exhausted with so many ideas at this point, I think he’s given up on me!! Â =P Â Not to sure if it’s a good thing or bad but I’m really not big on flower center pieces. Â Don’t see the justification of spending so much $$$ on flowers that will end up wilting by the end of the night. Â Please don’t get me wrong…I love flowers and love receiving flowers but who honestly will be sitting at the dinner table the night of the wedding, admiring at the center pieces all night. Â
My last big project on my plate at this moment is finishing up the wedding favors. Â As I’m not in a rush at this moment since we’ve already purchased majority of the items for the wedding favors. Â
According to my “check list” I seem to be on time with everything. Â The only thing I really have to do is finalize the menu with the caterer which will be next week. Â Unfortunately, we were scheduled to meet in June but had to be bumped up. Â Oh, now that we have the date for the church rehearsal, David and I have to start planning the rehearsal dinner. Â However, I think that will be easy since we may have in our home. Â Just have to plan on what we’re gonna serve! Â I’m thinking about starting up the grill!! Â May have to consult with the Husband-to-be on that thought!
Let me stop here for now before I end up writing a book. Â Before I go…if you have any idea please feel free to leaveÂ

Be Careful For What You Wish For…!!!!
As you read below, I convinced David that we should include a blog feature onto the website. Â However, when I asked for the blog feature, I didn’t think I would receive one within a few days. Â I guess I have to be careful for what I wish for!!! Â The funny thing is David keeps asking if I posted anything on the blog page yet. Â Not to sure if he’s excited about the blog feature or just wants to see if I write anything juicy about him!!!! Â LOL!!! Â =)
I usually keep a journal but I figure why not share my thoughts, ideas, frustration and joy of planning our wedding with my family and friends. Â With that thought I can always use some good ideas and advice, so please feel free to leave a post or comment!!!
So, let me share my first project with you! Â At this moment my project right now is working on our wedding programs for the church. Â I know some of you may think its a little early but I’m making them by hand it’s a little bit challenging especially when I’ve never done anything really creative on the computer. Â I’m working on the templates and hopefully my “WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL” bridesmaids and Jr. bridesmaids will help me assemble them together. Â My flower girl (li’l cousin Chastity) will direct the orders!! Â =) Â I’ll be sure to post an image of a sample when I’m done.Â
With the wedding be so close, I’ll be sure to check and update the blog as much as possible. Â I hope you enjoyed our website and please do not forget to sign our guest book!!
David - I’m sure I never tell you enough but You are the BEST!! Â And Thank you so much for inserting the blog feature for me as an outlet for my thoughts, ideas and frustrations!! Â I LOVE YOU, HUN!!
